The MET Police are planning to launch a pilot scheme which would see Londoners in 6 boroughs breathalysed before entering clubs. The scheme is part of a effort to cut down alcohol-related violence in town centers.

The limit will be set at twice the drink driving limit and has seen "anecdotal" success in Croydon already. It would be similar to a scheme targeting students launched in Loughborough last year.

Protecting us calmer drinkers or a profit-making plan for clubs angry at the prevalence of 'pre-gaming'?

We only have one thing to say to this
