Report: Two Dead in Shooting at Home Depot in NYC

UPDATE: According to the Associated Press, authorities have identified the victims as 31-year-old Calvin Esdaile of Brooklyn, and 38-year-old Bronx resident Moctar Sy

A Home Depot store in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood was the scene of a murder-suicide that left two of the store's employees dead, according to WABC-TV New York

Police told the local news station that the shooting happened 2:45 p.m. at the store located at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue.

The victim, a 38-year-old manager at the store who was shot in the chest, was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, while the shooter, a 31-year-old man, fatally shot himself in the head, the New York Post reported. 

"What I heard was that a guy was fired and that he came back to the store," one witness told The Daily News.
