With Game of Thrones now showing in movie theaters, it was only a matter of time until the promised Season 5 trailer made its way onto the Internet. And now that it has, we can finally start to get excited about the upcoming season, which kicks off on April 12.
Does the trailer itself reveal anything new plot-wise to non-book readers? Not really. But does it matter? Hell no.
There’s plenty of violence, what looks like more nudity, and the obligatory shot of a dragon unleashing hell. You can’t blame Benioff, Weiss, et al. for sticking with the formula that works.
Plus, “Heroes” plays at the end. And not the shitty Wallflowers version.
