Officials say police in Washington, D.C. accidentally shot a man inside of a barber shop today.

WUSA9 reports that officers were pursuing robbery suspects in Southeast D.C. when one of the three men brandished a weapon. An officer opened fire, but struck a man inside of a barber shop instead: 


It happened in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Avenue, where police say one of the suspects displayed a weapon. One of the officers fired shots and hit an innocent bystander in a barber shop.

According to WUSA9, police eventually apprehended the three suspects, adding that the pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries.
