Embattled comedian Bill Cosby took the stage for the first time since November tonight in Canada. Let's just say the number of reporters there was high — definitely way higher than normal for Thursday night stand-up comedy show by an elderly former TV star.
So when Cosby, who has been accused of drugging and raping more than two dozen women via pills and spiked drinks, made a joke about drinking around him, that small army of reporters exploded via Twitter.
There were plenty of others, and some described the woman as a "heckler" at first, but this sounds like a better explanation for what was going on from a National Post reporter:
OK, but even if she wasn't a heckler, WTF ...
Cosby apparently got a standing ovation at the end of the show, but it wasn't all smooth as a pudding pop. At least one legitimate heckler got thrown out.
And there were protesters handing out anti-Cosby papers and shouting at people as they entered the show.
