Warner Bros. goin’ up on a Tuesday by announcing Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) for the star studded cast of Suicide Squad, in addition to Tom Hardy, Cara Delevigne, and Jai Courtney.
Casting rumors have been at an all time high as of late, pretty much announcing all of these stars, but the studio now confirms their involvement.
FYI: The villainous squad is a special collective working for the government in exchange for getting out of their prison sentences.
Here’s the cast and its respective roles:
Will Smith as "Deadshot"
Jared Leto as "The Joker"
Margot Robbie as "Harley Quinn"
Tom Hardy as "Rick Flagg"
Cara Delevigne as "Enchantress"
Jai Courtney as "Boomerang"
Leto probably has it the toughest in terms of living up to Heath Ledger’s performance of The Joker. People are already expecting Batfleck levels of disappointment. Other than that this looks solid.
Suicide Squad is currently set to premiere Aug. 5, 2016.
