The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies continued to dominate the box office after the lucrative Christmas Day releases. Although it ranked third on Christmas Day, behind Unbroken and Into the Woods, it was back on top by Friday.

The Interview ended up being shown in 331 theaters on Christmas Day and made around $1 million; it's expected to reach $2.7 million for its four days, but it's also available for pay-per-view on several sites, including Sony's own. Meanwhile, Unbroken and Into the Woods look to hit at least $40 million by the end of the weekend.
