Star Trek 3 is starting to get its shit together. A day after announcing its replacement director Star Trek 3 has set a release date for July 8, 2016.
Hopefully this will be the end of the film's woes following the departure of J.J. Abrams. Roberto Orci had been hired to replace Abrams, but he dropped out earlier this month. Fast and Furious director Justin Lin will become the third director to helm the rebooted Star Trek series and the man competing with Abrams now that he's over at Star Wars.
As of now, however, Star Trek 3 has no competitors on its release date.
