It's about time we get a look at what Spike Lee did with our $1.4 million. The first trailer for "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus," Lee's first-ever crowdfunded joint, dropped today.
The Kickstarter-funded movie is a remake of a 1973 cult horror / blaxploitation movie Ganja & Hess, in which a professor studying the habits of a lost African tribe becomes addicted to blood (although Spike will not call it a vampire movie).
It's due to come out in February 2015.
