Sarah Jessica Parker is Close To Signing "Divorce" Papers for HBO (Unconfirmed if Pensive Monologues Will Feature)

The "Sex and the City" star is prepping a new HBO show called "Divorce".

Sarah Jessica Parker was married to HBO for seven seasons of Sex and the City. And after a decade-long separation (which is longer than we'd give Carrie's relationship with "Big"), Parker is back on the open market and shaping up a pilot to reunite with the cable network. It's working title is Divorce. And if all reads well in the paperwork, Parker will sign to star and produce.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show would focus on "a middle-aged woman (Parker), who, influenced by her two recently single friends, impulsively brings up the idea of divorce with her husband but then can't decide whether to actually go through with it—until her husband discovers the affair she's been having and calls the marriage off." Indecisiveness? Impulsivity? These sounds like Carrie Bradshaw smoke-break questions for her "Sex and the City" columns.

No word on whether Parker's new show will include pensive monologues. Or if her character will turn to Tinder for answers. But, jokes aside, SJP and HBO are a proven pair.
