Will we see Jack The Ripper or Sherlock Holmes?

After the Crusades, the Renaissance, pirates and the French Revolution, Assassin’s Creed is coming to Victorian London.

Information on the next instalment of the time-travelling stealth game has leaked, and it appears it’s heading over to London. Details of the game, supposedly titled Assassin’s Creed: Victory, are scarce, but images revealed by Kotaku show Big Ben, St Paul's, music hall posters and plenty of top hats.

The game is expected late next year, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

No plot information has been revealed, but the Victorian setting obviously opens up lots of speculation about appearances by Jack The Ripper or Sherlock Holmes. Whatever form the story takes, look forward to lots of iffy English accents and broad stereotypes of Britain taken from Downton Abbey and Colin Firth movies.

Benedict Cumberbatch is clearly going to be in the voice cast, isn’t he?
