We all have been told that drugs are bad (mkay). Presumably, BBC reporter Quentin Sommerville has heard the same. But that didn’t stop him from filming a segment in front of a burning pile of opiates, feeling the powerful effects of the drugs soon thereafter.

The result? A reel of Sommerville getting a vicious case of the giggles every time he tries to film the opening of his report. The man himself was actually the one who posted the four-year-old video on his Twitter account, although he later deleted the tweet.

As the BBC’s Middle East correspondent, Sommerville has spent time in some of the world’s most dangerous, volatile regions. Who would have thought that this is what would have sent him into hysterics? It’s Journalism 101, really: don’t smoke your story.
