Did you, Don Lemon? Did you really have to ask a woman who at the time was being drugged and raped why she didn’t have the wherewithal to try to bite off Bill Cosby’s penis?
Lemon has a bit of a history when it comes to saying ridiculous things, as he did last night when interviewing Joan Tarshis, who is one of the women publicly accusing Cosby of drugging and raping them when they were teenagers. Tarshis offers a very composed response, which is admirable given the completely absurd line of questioning she was subject to in reliving this nightmare.
Things are only getting worse for Cosby, as yesterday Netflix suspended the release of his upcoming standup special after Janice Dickinson came forward with even more rape allegations against the comedian.
UPDATE: This afternoon on CNN, Lemon led off coverage of the Cosby situation by offering this apology: "As a victim myself I would never want to suggest that any victim could have prevented a rape. If my question struck anyone as insensitive, I’m sorry, as that was not my intention."
