It's a sad day for fans of MTV's The Challenge. Diem Brown, who had publicly battled cancer on and off on multiple seasons of the reality show, has died, according to People. She was just 32 years old.
Brown was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 23. While continuing to appear on seasons of Real World/Road Rules Challenge—on which her relationship with fan-favorite CT was one of the best ongoing stories—she beat the disease only to be re-diagnosed in 2012. After beating the disease once again, Brown revealed the devastating news in October that cancer had been found in her stomach and colon in August, and had also spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
Brown's unrelenting courage in the face of a disease that just continued to haunt her was inspiring—she was a role model for those who were also battling cancer on a reality show that usually specializes in fist fights—and her passing is truly unfortunate.
