Cecily Strong From "Saturday Night Live" Will Host the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Cecily Strong from "Saturday Night Live" has been chosen to host the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong lost her spot as a "Weekend Update" anchor but gained a more prominent hosting gig. The comedian has been chosen to host the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, making her the fourth woman to get the job in 82 years.

WHCA president Christi‎ Parsons gave strong praise to Cecily, along with an odd comment about her accent, saying, "Her political humor is sly and edgy, and it comes with a Chicago accent."

Yes, yes it does. We're not sure if the accent makes her more qualified, but we guess it can't hurt. We do know that she has a killer Rachel Maddow impression, and we hope to see it again at the Dinner. Barack Obama can't be the victim of all the jokes. Just most of them.
