Bob Marley's Family Are Launching a Global Cannabis Brand

'Marley Natural Fine Cannabis' aims to be on sale late 2015.

The family of Bob Marley have launched what they hope will be the world’s first ever global cannabis brand.

With cannabis now legally available in places like Uruguay and several US states, the family of the late reggae superstar think now is the perfect time to launch an international weed brand. And in places where the man still doesn’t let you light up legally yet, they’ll be selling cannabis infused locations, creams and accessories, all promoted with Marley’s image.

However, the brand won’t exactly offer a worldwide guarantee of the same product, unlike how, say, a Big Mac is the same in London as it is in Bangkok. Despite all being sold under the brand name Marley Natural Fine Cannabis, each market’s products will be grown and distributed locally, in order to adhere to complicated marijuana policies across the world.

Cecelia Marley, daughter of Bob, said:

“My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb. He viewed the herb as something spiritual that could awaken our well-being, deepen our reflection, connect us to nature and liberate our creativity.”
