According to officials, 35 pounds of cocaine was discovered at the Port of New York/Newark in late October.

Gothamist reports that the container arrived in Port of Newark, N.J. on Oct. 28 after leaving Australia and making a stop in Panama. Inside of the 1,050 cartons of wine was a black bag containing 13 bricks of a substance that later tested positive for cocaine.

According to Gothamist, New York Field Operations Director Robert E. Perez praised U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers for their "vigilance, integrity and service to country" in a statement.
