In a move that could be considered dystopian enough to have been pulled from the pages of Brave New World, two of the world's biggest tech giants have begun offering women the opportunity to freeze their reproductive eggs in a bid to create a more diverse workforce.

By attracting more women to the workforce, concerns about them spending their most fertile years behind a desk have prompted the two tech behemoths to provide a 'pause' button to women allowing them to have children later in their lives. Facebook and Apple will both cover the costs of egg-freezing for female workers up to $20,000. According to NBC News, Facebook employees are able to enroll in the program as of right now, while Apple employees will be able to participate beginning in 2015.
