HBO aired Bill Maher's new standup special this weekend, and it absolutely crushed the ratings. Pulling in 1.1 million on the premiere and another 1.6 for the second airing, Bill Maher: Live from DC is the highest rated special HBO has had since Robin Williams: Weapons of Self-Destruction in 2009.
Friday night's episode of Real Time with Bill Maher—which preceded the special and featured a monster lineup of Jerry Seinfeld, Nancy Pelosi and John Huntsman—also had a great night with 1.1 million viewers.
It'll be hard impossible for Maher to top that next weekend.
