Lena Dunham has had a change of heart, that or she was sufficiently shamed by Gawker, and has decided to pay the warm-up acts who volunteered to be on her upcoming book-tour for Not That Kind of Girl.

In a series of tweets the Girls’ star said the idea was to get exposure for these local artists, but then added she realized they should also be compensated with money. She even thanked the publication for making her realize the error of her ways.

1.

As an artist raised by artists, no one believes more than I do that creators should be fairly compensated for their work.

2.

Some good points were raised and I've ensured that all opening acts will be compensated for their time, their labor and their talents.

3.

The fact that Gawker pointed this out really proves Judd Apatow's saying that "a good note can come from anywhere."
