In undoubtedly one of the more bizarre stories of the year, “aspiring” British model Josie Cunningham was catfished over an 18 month period by a man claiming to be Curtis Davies, the captain of Barclay’s Premier League side Hull City. While the two had not been seeing each other regularly, they certainly were in contact enough for Cunningham to get pregnant, and the shock of the revelation may have sent her into labor last night.

How did this happen, you may ask? It’s unclear. According to Cunningham herself, pretty much everyone in her life warned her that he was an imposter. However, she had a foolproof plan to convince them otherwise:

The actual Davies lives with his girlfriend, and doesn’t seem too pleased at the unwarranted attention:

Cunningham initially gained a measure of notoriety when she underwent a £4800, government-funded breast enhancement surgery that brought her from a size 32A to 36DD. She then raised £30,000 selling tickets to the birth of her child, only then she changed her mind a couple weeks ago and is now keeping the money for her daughter's future plastic surgery (seriously).

She sounds like quite a lady.
