The U.S. has made international headlines for the situation in Ferguson, Mo., especially for the police-protestor clashes reminiscent of scenes from a war zone. And, while we can shake off much of the criticism, the real hammer blow came this morning when North Korea decided to pile on.

In an article from the official state news, the North Korean government said that:

“The U.S. is, indeed, a country wantonly violating the human rights where people are subject to discrimination and humiliation due to their races and they are seized with such horror that they do not know when they are shot to death.”

OK, so maybe calling out America for human right violations is a bit hypocritical, but it’s kind of hard to find anything factually inaccurate about the above statement. They then went on to say:

“The U.S. had better honestly accept the unanimous accusations of the broad international community and mind its own business, instead of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.”

Again, this kind of makes sense doesn’t it? Maybe it’s time we sort out our problems here before we start trying to fix other countries around the world.

The North Koreans also says that “The U.S. is a living hell as elementary rights to existence are ruthlessly violated.” Well, that might be a bit overstating it. After all, would a “living hell” have the horse collar?
