Comedian Tracy Morgan continues to make progress as he recovers from the critical injuries he suffered in a June 7 car accident, and his publicist confirmed over the weekend that Morgan has been discharged from his inpatient rehabilitation center New Jersey.

“Tracy has been released from the rehabilitation center and will continue his recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program,” said publicist Lewis Kay. “He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point. He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point in his recovery.”

Morgan was injured the night of June 7 near Trenton, NJ as he and several others were on their way back from a show in a limousine bus. The dozing driver of a Wal-Mart truck lost control of his vehicle, colliding with Morgan’s bus and killing comedian James McNair as well as injuring Morgan, his assistant, and another comedian.

Late last week, Morgan filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart in a case that carries significant long-term ramifications for accidents such as these.
