Break out your Halloween spirit and rejoice because comedy's sweetheart Tina Fey is officially producing a sequel to the 1993 classic film Hocus Pocus. The original movie was directed by Kenny Ortega and starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters, three witches who try to gain eternal youth by sucking the life out of children. A creepy concept for what was marketed as a children's movie, but it gained a cult following and is now one of the mainstays of Halloween tradition.

According to The Tracking Board, Fey's production company Little Stranger is on board to produce the film's sequel. They reported:

"The sequel will pick up years after the original, focusing on a housewife who is related to the Sanderson sisters, who teams up with a witch hunter to save her children after they run afoul of some resurrected witches while out trick-or-treating."

No word yet on whether or not Tina Fey will be straddling a broomstick and stepping in front of the camera herself. But we're staying hopeful.
