Kickstarter is a beautiful thing. It can crowd-fund revolutionary new products, make dreams a reality, and whip up a mean potato salad. In fact, at the time this post went live, a campaign for "Potato Salad" had raised $24,115

"Basically I'm just making potato salad. I haven't decided what kind yet," says the page.

The Kickstarter is run by Zach Danger Brown, who posted "Potato Salad" last week. After some coverage this afternoon from the likes of BuzzFeed, it became an Internet sensation, raking in thousands of dollars in just a few hours.

"I’ve always enjoyed potato salad at Memorial Day parties and Labor Day parties. Early this week someone asked if I’d ever made potato salad and I couldn’t say that I had. So I turned to Kickstarter to change that," Brown told BuzzFeed.

Despite the massive attention Brown's potato salad has received today, he keeps expectations realistic. "It might not be that good," says the page. "It's my first potato salad."

If you want to make "Potato Salad" a reality, you have until August 2 to donate here
