This morning on The View, we got our answer.
There will be a new hero in the Marvel Universe: Thor. Yes, we know you're thinking of the Chris Hemsworth version, but that's not what this is. The name "Thor" simply refers to whoever wields the hammer Mjolnir, and the male version is being replaced by a woman in future comics (and possibly movies, we suppose).
