Riding the success of documentaries like The Case Against 8, HBO announced today that they are going to be airing documentaries every single Monday. Some of the upcoming subjects include President Nixon, Pamela Smart and Russia’s anti-gay laws.

The network will show a whole bunch of new films, although an exact number has not been determined. They’ll also intersperse “timely encore presentations” as well, in perhaps one of the greatest remixes of the term “rerun” that we have ever heard.

The network signed a deal a few months ago with acclaimed documentarian Susan Lacy, who created the popular American Masters series on PBS. Lacy will likewise be producing films for HBO, and you can expect many other female directors to get a chance to showcase their talent on the network as well.
