How many times a day have you stifled through your Facebook Timeline and saw multiple things you want to read, only to completely forget about the other links once you clicked on one? Well, that sounds like a personal problem.

Just kidding. It happens to a lot of us, and Facebook found a solution: they've updated their app to let users save articles and links in a folder that they can come back to for viewing at a later point. Sound familiar? That's because apps like Instapaper, Pocket, and even Safari's Reading List feature let users do that already, except you can read those articles even while you're offline, which Facebook's feature doesn't let you do at this point. Essentially, this is mobile bookmarking for a social network.

The update will be rolled out for both iOS and Android in the coming days. To use the Save feature when it's out, click on the  arrow in the right hand corner of an article on your TL. A list of options will come up, with "Save" being one of them. Once you save a link, you can access it by going to the “More” tab in the app, or by selecting the link on the left hand side of Facebook on the web.

It's not a bad addition to the site, though it isn't going to make Pocket and other offline reading apps break a sweat, yet. This definitely opens the door for Facebook to add an offline reading feature later on down the line, which will further cement it as your go-to news hub and not the wasteland of baby pictures and selfies we've all come to hate love.
