Conan O'Brien to Make His Film Debut

Next stop, Oscars? Conan O'Brien will be making his feature film debut next month in "Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda."

Last night on Conan, host Conan O’Brien announced that he will be making his feature film debut in the coming weeks. Will he be the sarcastic but well-intentioned best friend in a rom-com? Perhaps he’ll do something more serious, leaving the jokes behind and taking on a dramatic role? Or will he just be his typical self in a cookie-cutter comedy?

How about none of the above.

Instead, O’Brien will be appearing in the upcoming sequel, Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda on SyFy. You may recall the original Sharktopus, which concluded with the titular character having explosives set off inside its brain. Well, they’re running it back, but this time the Sharktopus has a foe: a half barracuda, half pterodactyl.

And now, with O’Brien, perhaps a third hero has entered the mix.
