Cliff Bleszinski Announces First Project for Boss Key Productions Code Named "Blue Streak"

The free-to-play sci-fi shooter will be available for the PC.

After much speculation from the gaming community, Cliff Bleszinski, the Gears of War designer, has finally announced his next project code-named Blue Streak. The title will be a free-to-play, sci-fi arena shooter for PC. The release date remains unknown.

Bleszinski is famous for his work with Epic Games, a company that he left in 2012 to pursue other options in his career. Back in April, Bleszinski quietly founded Boss Key Productions in collaboration with Guerilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee. Now the two have come together to get the wheels spinning on their forthcoming project.

Needless to say, the gaming community is excited and, of course, ready to make the inevitable comparisons to the popular Martin Lawrence film of the same name.

We have our doubts that Bleszinski's game will share any resemblance with Lawrence's famous cop comedy. The film currently has a 36 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Bleszinski is probably wise enough to choose better source material.
