The concept of formal marijuana education programs will have eager students (well, some of them) thinking about going back to school in September.

According to the New York Post, Natick, Mass.'s Northeastern Institute of Cannabis will launch a 12-week course focused on the marijuana industry this fall. For $1,500, students who have earned a high school diploma or GED to earn their "cannabis industry certification."

The program, the brainchild of activist Mickey Martin, is designed to serve people interested in working at medical marijuana dispensaries in states where it's legal. What's happened in Colorado during the first half of 2014 proved that the marijuana industry is a profitable one, so anyone looking to spend green to learn about it should consider.
