Officials in California believe a man started a wildfire near an illegal marijuana plot that spread over four miles.
According to the Associated Press, Freddie Alexander Smoke lll (yes, his last name is "Smoke") was arrested in Redding, Calif. yesterday after the fire began while he was making a delivery to the site:
The agency said he was delivering material to the pot site in Shasta County when the exhaust from his truck ignited dry grass.
The so-called Bully fire has since grown to nearly 3,000 acres, officials said. More than 1,000 personnel are involved in fighting the blaze, which was just 10 percent contained Saturday night.
Though the blaze resulted in evacuations and road closures, no homes were damaged. Smoke was charged with marijuana cultivation and recklessly causing a fire.
