The studio behind the upcoming open world The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has confirmed that one of its developer's Google Drive was hacked. Resulting in game files being posted online.

"It has come to our attention that some of the production files for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have emerged on the internet," the company's marketing boss Michal Platkow-Gilewski told EuroGamer.

"A portion of the files contains information about the story of the game so we strongly advise against accessing them, as this may heavily impact and spoil your future gaming experience.”

The files were posted to multiple sharing and gaming sites such as Reddit and 4chan. In the files is a bestiary of monsters including some there were cut from the final version. Some concept art and modeling of the main characters. As well as a document containing lists of the multiple ending scenarios, which was previously revealed at 36 different possibilities.

Another nugget revealed by the documents states that the core game was finished back in February of 2014. Of course there is still a lot to do after finishing a game, including debugging, music and lots of added eye candy. However Wild Hunt looks so good I'd happily play it on without sound.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt started out 2014 as the year's most anticipated game until being delayed until February 2015. Keep it locked for more details.
