Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce Talk "The Rover" and Giving Keri Hilson's Music a Post-Apocalyptic Spin

A video interview with "The Rover's" Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce.

David Michôd exploded into the movie world in a big way with his 2010 debut Animal Kingdom, a searing Aussie thriller that put several stars from down under (Joel Edgerton, Jacki Weaver, Ben Mendelsohn) on the map and gave its director quite a bit of freedom when it came to what he wanted to do next. Though many offers were made to him, Michôd chose to return to a script that he wrote several years ago, The Rover.

Starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson, the gritty revenge flick is about a man named Eric (Pearce), who's carjacked by a gang of thieves. On his quest to track them down and get his vehicle back, he comes across Rey (Pattinson), who was left for dead when the very same gang botched a robbery attempt; it also turns out that Rey's brother is the leader of the gang. The two soon join up and Rey becomes Eric's unwitting accomplice.

Our friends from We Got This Covered recently sat down with Michôd, Pattinson, and Pearce to talk about the fascinating relationship arc between the two main characters, how Pattinson crafted his performance, how a Keri Hilson song made it into the film, and more.

Check out the interview above. The Rover is currently in theaters nationwide.
