"A Song of Ice and Fire" fans will be disappointed to hear about one character from the books who won't make it to TV.

In late April, a Lena Headey Instagram post seemed to confirm what fans of A Song of Ice and Fire already knew: we were getting a major character reveal at the end of this season of Game of Thrones. The finale arrived, and anticipation was high for yet another major “holy sh*t” moment. And then…

Nothing.

But wait, what happened? If you want to know more, read on. If you’d rather not know what you’re missing, please feel free to click away now.

OK, assuming you want to know, the character in question is known as Lady Stoneheart, AKA zombie Catelyn Stark. Basically, after the Red Wedding, Catelyn’s body gets dumped in a river, where it is scooped up Arya’s direwolf and brought back to life by everybody’s favorite raiser of the dead, Thoros of Myr. However, Catelyn is…changed. Her face is all bloated from the water and she can’t talk on account of her throat being slit, but damn is she mad. She goes on a cathartic rampage across Westeros, killing anybody who did her family dirty.

In an interview with EW, actress Michelle Fairley (who played Catelyn) seemed to put the kibosh on Lady Stoneheart being involved in the TV series:

“The character's dead. She’s dead.

There certainly are some ripple effects of not having Lady Stoneheart involved, and knowing David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, there’s absolutely no reason to think that they wouldn’t bust her out next season just to mess with our minds. Stay on your toes, people.
