Facebook isn't done with trying to take on Snapchat... but it might be too late.
The company released their Snapchat-like app, Slingshot, today on the App Store. It works very similar to Snapchat in that the pictures users send over the app expire after a set amount of time. But, the twist with Slingshot is that users have to send a picture back to someone in order to see the picture that was sent to them.
From the description page:
Slingshot lets you quickly share moments —little and big— with all your friends. Shoot a photo or video of what you’re up to and sling it to a bunch of people. They won’t be able to see your shot until they sling something back. Tap on a shot to react, or simply swipe it away.
