The World Cup has attracted all kinds of celebrity attention in Brazil, but back Stateside it appears some A-listers are getting very into the action as well. Like, enough to delay shooting their movies so they can watch the game.

Robert De Niro was in Brooklyn today shooting scenes for his movie The Intern, and decided that he’d like to take a break to watch the USA game. Already anticipating this, the producers had sent out the following email to all members of a neighboring apartment building:

Our lead actor, Robert DeNiro, would very much like to watch the World Cup game, today at 12p. Would it be possible to place a small portable satellite on the building rooftop ASAP and run a cable to the street to help facilitate this request?

Before this dangerous-sounding electrical project could take place, though, a kindly neighbor discovered that De Niro needed a place to see the game, and simply invited the Oscar-winner into his house. It’s a bit below the Bill Murray Bachelor Party and Engagement Photo crashes, but still a pretty solid effort by Mr. De Niro.
