Congratulations are due to Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman. Last night, the star athlete edged Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to win the Madden 15 cover contest.
Sherman is one of the few defensive players to earn cover status, joining a club including Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, and former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
Yesterday, Sherman shared a photo announcing the good news on his Instagram. The caption read, "Madden Cover!!! Thank you everyone who voted for me!"
After a Super Bowl-winning season for Seattle in which Sherman was selected for the Pro Bowl and voted first-team All Pro, it's hard to say that he hasn't earned this honor. Kudos, Richard.
