On Veep, Reid Scott is portrayed as a smooth talker who uses his intelligence and looks to advance his own career. All things considered, you could do worse when being typecast.

The next step in Scott’s blossoming acting career will be a role in the upcoming Anne Hathaway/Robert DeNiro film The Intern. According to The Wrap, “Scott takes on the role of a smooth-talking, cocky young businessman that Hathaway sees as a possible CEO for her company.”

A scene stealer as Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ potty-mouthed Deputy Communications Director on Veep, Scott will get to play a very similar character here. The premise of the film—that Hathaway’s burgeoning fashion website seeks to be a better corporate citizen by hiring a senior citizen intern (DeNiro)—seems to lend itself to the hijinks and light-hearted douche-baggery that Scott has mastered on TV.

The cast is still being assembled for the film, which is currently slated to be released in September of 2015.
