Big news for Pedro Pascal—like, bigger than the thing involving him that happened on last week's Game of Thrones (we won't spoil, mostly because we're still not over it): according to Deadline, Pascal has been confirmed to star in Netflix's upcoming drama series Narcos, "the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the globe and attendant efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict." From one bloody, violent show to another. Pascal should fit right in.

As for his character: He'll be portraying Javier Pena, a Mexican DEA agent from the US who is sent to Colombia on a mission to capture and kill notorious Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura). Sounds dramatic.

Narcos was written by Chris Brancato, and directed by RoboCop director José Padilha. It should premiere on Netflix sometime in 2015.
