Good morning! You look handsome. Just kidding. How would I know that? Anyway, welcome to your Tuesday edition of Rise and Grind. It's beautiful outside, but since you're inside sitting in front of your computer, take the time to read this crazy stuff on the Internet. As always, send your tips, photos, news developments, love letters, and hate mail to cityguidetips@complex.com.

Go Back To Africa

You look like you need your daily dose of racism! In this video a biracial woman interviews angry Neo Nazis and members of the KKK, forcing these hate groups to confront their intolerance and answer hard-hitting questions about their twisted, racist values. It doesn't go very well, but it's fun to watch. [viaHuffington Post]

Stop Idolizing Your Professor

It's very easy to fall into the trap of thinking your college professor knows everything and is the gatekeeper for your success. Turns out, while you fawn over how brilliant your professor is, they are likely taking mad shit about you behind your back. Case and point: revered critical theorist Slavok Zizek recently called his students "boring idiot." Rebecca Schuman makes a case for why students need to chill with the prof adoration. [viaSlate]

Veterans Deserve Better

Seeing a homeless veteran should be a huge source of shame in America, but the reality is very few people care. That lack of empathy is getting worse. Our vets barely receive adequate health care, and instead of trying to fix the problem, the administration has attempted to cover it up. Most recently, a VA hospital in Arizona manipulated their records to hide the fact that vets had to wait an average of 115 days just to see a doctor. It's truly appalling and it's a problem that can't be ignored. [via New York Daily News]

Dumb Blonds

How many blonds does it take to write a news item about the fact that there is no such thing as a dumb blond? Apparently only one—and a few research students at Stanford University. According to this article, science says that being blond and being dumb are just stereotypes. I guess it's time to put your "dumb blond" jokes to rest. (For the record, I have no proof that Allison P. Davis is blond. It's just an educated guess.) [via The Cut]

Nirvana in the Hall of Fame

One of the greatest bands of all time made its way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and now you can, and totally should, watch the full induction ceremony and performance. [via Rolling Stone]

Swingin' Music For Swingin' Lovers

Speaking of Nirvana, here's a tune from a little-known twee band that Kurt Cobain enjoyed. That's all for today.
