Variety has some bad news for fans of the Wachowskis. According to the site, Warner Bros. has delayed the duo’s upcoming sci-fi blockbuster, Jupiter Ascending, until Feb. 6, 2015. While movie delays are fairly common, Jupiter Ascending was just seven weeks out from its planned July 18 debut.

There is no reason for the delay, but, honestly, there hasn’t been much hype for the film. And with a $150 million budget on the line, maybe the studio wants to move it away from the overwhelming competition of the summer. There is also the possibility that the film’s special effects need more time for completion, like what happened with the GI Joe sequel a few years back. Once an official reason is given, we'll have it for you.
