Who has one source claimed will be the hero of "Star Wars: Episode VII?"

The Star Wars: Episode VII rumor mill has been working double time ever since the cast has been announced, and now a major detail may have finally become available.

According to Latino Review, there are a number of key plot elements that they’re now deeming “reportable”:

  • There will be a female villain, and she is likely a Sith lord. Could this be a possible fit for Gwendoline Christie? She’s pretty damn intimidating, and given her Game of Thrones experience we're willing to bet she could cut fools up with a lightsaber.
  • The “New Republic” will not exist, even though there are 30 years between Return of the Jedi and Episode VII. Because politics, am I right?
  • In perhaps the biggest nugget of all, John Boyega will begin the movie as neither a Jedi nor a Padawan (i.e., Jedi-in-training). Instead, he’ll be some sort of everyman folded into the Star Wars universe, much like Luke Skywalker in A New Hope.

With a December 2015 release date, the speculation over the movie's plot and each member of the cast’s specific roles will be running rampant. Many more details are to follow, we’re sure.

As always, when we know, you’ll know.
