Along with the announcement of their forthcoming open-world Zelda game, Nintendo also provided details regarding their upcoming Dynasty Warriors/Legend of Zelda hybrid, Hyrule Warriors. While providing gameplay footage of the title, the game's developers discussed specifics of the game, as well as its September 26 release date.

In Hyrule Warriors you'll be in charge of an army of Hylian soldiers fighting against various bad guys and monsters previously seen in the Zelda series. Not only will you play as Link, but you'll have the option of controlling Zelda, Impa, and Midna as well, each of whom have their own specially-designed abilities.

Some fans of the respective franchises were skeptical of the crossover, but it's hard to feel pessimistic about a game that looks this good. Watch the entire trailer above.
