In Hollywood, scandals are a dime a dozen. Between divorce, infidelity, and sex rumors, most headlines that send shockwaves through the Internet are soon forgotten to make room for new ones. As most scandals go, Bryan Singer seems to have his recent sexual abuse allegation behind him. Alongside his somewhat triumph over these aforementioned claims, X-Men: Days Of Future Past is now the highest grossing movie of 2014 worldwide.

As well as he may be doing now, when the whirlwind allegations where taking their course, Singer made it a point to do little to no press for the movie. Thus, starting even more rumors that he may not be returning for the sequel X-Men: Apocalypse. However, Singer doesn’t seem to be losing steam, so don’t count him out just yet.

Singer recently tweeted the first page of X-Men: Apocalypse where the words “THE FOUR HORSEMEN” were seen in all caps. In the comic books, Apocalypse is the next villain in the series and is the ancient mutant, which the Horsemen of Apocalypse served. Although it is speculation at this point, having Singer back would certainly fuel the franchise even more.

However, when asked directed if Singer will be back, 20th Century Fox Chief Emma Watts says, “Right now we are totally at the outlining phase. But nothing would make me happier than if it all worked out. It’s always been the intention for him to do it."
