Watch "The Walking Dead" Opening Credits Redone as an '80s Sitcom

Watch the opening credits of “The Walking Dead” get redone in the style of an ‘80s sitcom.

If there is one thing that The Walking Dead is missing it’s a catchy opening theme song. Thankfully, Wil Wheaton is here to fix that. On a recent episode of SyFy’s The Wil Wheaton Project, Wheaton and Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick showed us what it would be like if the zombie drama had an opening theme song like an ‘80s sitcom.

The end result is an absolutely hilarious song that we wish AMC would make a reality. The highlight is no doubt Michael Rooker’s booze-swilling intro at the 1:10 mark, but, really, the entire thing is genius. It’s a nice change of pace from all of the blood, gore, and ominous music that accompanies the real show. Watch it in the player above.
