A world with no Sriracha is not a world anyone wants to live in, so other companies are trying to swoop in while Hoy Fong Foods and the city of Irwindale, Calif. duke it out over the alleged offensive odors flowing from the brand's plant.

Esteemed hot sauce provider Tabasco has entered the game, quietly launching their own brand of Sriracha that, as Grub Street reports, can only be purchased at the company's "country store" locations. Grub Street reached out for clarity, receiving only a canned response:

Tabasco Sriracha Sauce is a limited edition product, currently only available through the Tabasco Country Store. As McIlhenny Company develops new products and innovations, occasionally they are shared with fans through the Country Store.

Though Grub Street says there are murmurs about a national Tabasco-brand Sriracha rollout happening next year, the company is still keeping things on the hush. In the interim, just envision a future with that bottle in your cupboard next to other assorted Tabasco products.
