Selfies are a virus: they make us do dumb, dumb things, like getting close to a moving train, smiling at very inappropriate times, or getting too personal with animals, like this kid did.
When 17-year-old Brian Genest took a trip to Florida, he saw a squirrel walking on a handrail near him. So instead of continuing his walk, the dude decided to take a selfie with an animal that can be seen a hundred times a day on every college campus in America. So, he captured this gem:
Almost immediately afterward, his mom caught the consequence of getting too close to nature:
