According to a new study, there's another reason to celebrate Brooklyn: It's home to the top job market in New York City

According to the New York Post, a report released by the New York state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli claims that  private sector jobs in the most popular boroughs increased by just under 20 percent between 2003 and 2012. Of the city's five boroughs, Brooklyn has the most robust job market, and is currently winning because it's not Manhattan:

The borough of artisanal cheese shops and fair-trade clothing stores has become New York’s most burgeoning employment market, according to a new state report.

Also, the report revealed that downtown Brooklyn was a key source of job growth, creating 17 percent of the jobs. Lastly, the Post notes that the rest of the city's job growth rate clocked in at 10.6 percent, nearly half of Brooklyn's.
