After just 73 episodes and (apparently) not enough laughs, The Pete Holmes show met its end today.

TBS announced that they are cancelling the late night series, effective June 19 when the final episode will air. The show had been on four nights per week after Conan, but couldn’t pull in enough viewers to keep going.

TBS said in a statement:

“We recognize Pete as one of the most relevant comedians working today. We loved the show and gave it two chances. We just couldn't draw the audience needed to justify a third round. We hope we'll get to work with him again.”

It’s unclear what (if anything) will be replacing Holmes, as we see yet another shakeup in the ever-shifting landscape of late night TV.
